Bottle washing is one of those jobs that never ends. You finish one pile, and another one shows up. The Momcozy DeepClean Lite Baby Bottle Washer and Sterilizer is made to take that job off your plate. In one cycle, it washes, steams, dries and stores your bottles and pump parts. And it's only 9 inches wide, so it won't take over your counter.

This guide shows you how to use Momcozy DeepClean Lite Bottle Washer, one step at a time. If you’ve never used one before, don’t fret. The whole process consists of only four steps: fill the tank, load the racks, add a tablet, and press the start button.

Before You Start

Removable racks, spray arms, water tank, and filter for the Momcozy DeepClean Lite bottle washer.

Grab your manual and open the box. Take off all the packing materials. Then check that you have everything:

  • The main washer
  • The water tank
  • The spray arms
  • The racks and holders
  • The center water column
  • The filter
  • The drain hose and the power cord
  • The Pump360 rotary jets (for pump parts)

If something is missing, contact Momcozy support before you set up. You'll also want clean water and your Momcozy cleaning tablets nearby. You don't want to go looking for them halfway through.

Step 1: Pick a Spot

Choose a flat, steady spot on your counter near the sink. Leave a little space around the washer so air can flow. It is only 9 inches wide, so it fits easily in a small kitchen. If you need to move it later, the built-in GlideWheels help it glide.

Step 2: Install the Spray Arms, Racks and Holders

Put the spray arms, racks and holders in place. Check that each one is in firmly. Next, check that the spray arms turn freely. A stuck arm can't clean well, so this quick check is worth it.

Step 3: Connect the Drain Hose and Power

Attach the drain hose and put its free end in your sink. Then plug in the power cord. The used water flows out through the hose, so there is no tank to empty.

Step 4: Fill the Water Tank

Fill the tank with clean, room-temperature water, up to the MAX line. You can fill it right in the washer, or take it out first, whichever is easier. It holds 2.6 liters. Don't pour water straight into the cleaning chamber, which is the space inside the washer where your items go.

Is your tap water hard? Then purified or distilled water is a better choice. Hard water can leave mineral spots on your items, and over time it can build up inside the washer too.

Step 5: Load the Racks

Now it's time to load the racks. First, pour out any milk left in the bottles. You don't have to handwash them first.

Bottles and Nipples

Turn the bottles upside down on the bottle racks. Line up each bottle opening with a spray jet. This way, the water gets right inside. Then place the nipples on the nipple racks, so they sit firmly. Have tall or short bottles? Flip the upper rack to fit them.

Caps and Small Parts

Put caps and other small parts on the upper rack. Keep them steady and away from the spray arms.

Breast Pump Parts

Pump parts need a slightly different setup. Here's how:

  1. Press the release tab and take out the bottle racks and nipple racks. This makes more room.
  2. Put in the Pump360 rotary jets.
  3. Put the collection cups over the Pump360 rotary jets.
  4. Line up the flanges with the spray jets.
  5. Put smaller parts on the upper rack.

Those rotary jets send water into curves and tight spots that are hard to clean by hand. One rule: wash only heat-resistant parts. That means they can take high heat. And never wash a motor or anything with electronics.

Other Feeding Items

Got a pacifier, teether, sippy cup or toddler dishes? Those can go in too, as long as they're heat-resistant.

Step 6: Add a Cleaning Tablet and Close the Lid

Add one Momcozy cleaning tablet, which is also sold as the Momcozy Washing Block. Put it under the upper rack. Please skip any other soap. This includes dish soap, dishwasher powder, liquid detergent and regular dishwasher tablets. Any of them can make too much foam and leave a film on your items.

Then close the lid all the way. If it isn't fully closed, the washer will pause and show a top cover alert. This is easy to fix. Just close it properly and keep going.

Step 7: Choose a Cycle and Press Start

Now it's time to start the wash. To begin, press and hold the power button until the washer is on. Then pick Rapid Wash or Normal Wash. Add steam, drying and storage, or leave them out, depending on what you need. There are 21 ways to mix the modes, so you have plenty of choices. When you're ready, press start.

Here's how long each mode takes:

  • Rapid Wash: 19 minutes, great for quick daily cleaning
  • Normal Wash: 29 minutes, for a deeper clean
  • Steam Sterilization: 9 minutes
  • Drying: 60 minutes
  • Hygienic Storage: holds your clean items for up to 72 hours

Keep in mind that mixing modes makes the total time longer. Momcozy says the steam reaches 212°F. It also says tests by SGS, a testing company, show it gets rid of 99.9% of bacteria.

The washer also keeps an eye on things for you. It alerts you when the water is low, and it pauses if the lid isn't closed. It also stops the pressure from climbing too high. If you see a low-water alert, fill the tank up to the MAX line.

After the Cycle

When the cycle ends, wait about 10 minutes before you take anything out. Use that time to rest for a moment. If you choose storage, your clean items can stay inside for up to 72 hours, so you don't need to hurry.

Quick Troubleshooting

Not working like you expected? Don't worry. Most problems are easy to fix:

  • The washer paused and is showing a top cover alert. The lid isn't closed all the way. Close it, and you're good to go.
  • You see a low-water alert. Fill the tank back up to the MAX line.
  • Your bottles look cloudy. This is usually from hard water or buildup. Try purified or distilled water, descale the washer, and make sure each opening lines up with a spray jet.
  • Parts come out dirty. Check that the spray arms turn freely, the filter is clear and nothing is blocking the spray.
  • You see foam or a film. You may have used the wrong soap. Stick to Momcozy cleaning tablets.

DeepClean Lite or D8: Which One Do You Have?

Not sure which model you have? The DeepClean Lite holds 4 bottles, has 4 layers of spray and dries in 60 minutes. The D8 holds 8 bottles, has 5 layers of spray and dries in 55 minutes. It also has a Self-Clean mode that the Lite doesn't have. If you own the D8, check out the D8 guide. If you are still undecided, here is a side-by-side comparison that can help. Conclusion

This is the complete process of using Momcozy DeepClean Lite Bottle Washer. Place it near your sink and fill the tank. Load the racks and add the cleaning tab. Press starts to begin the cycle. It takes about 19 minutes to complete for rapid wash and 29  minutes for normal wash.  Adding steam, drying, or storage will extend the process, so choose the settings that best fit your routine. Wait about 10 minutes to take the racks and tab out.

You should do some maintenance to keep the washer functioning properly. Wipe it down, and rinse the racks, filter and spray arms. You should scale it after 20 cycles. There is a section for troubleshooting if something is not working properly.
